Dear Editor,
We thank Drs. Shahid and Malik for their critical evaluation of our article. We agree with their suggestion that the multiple strains of all the three species of Aspergillus species should have been used for preparation of filtrate antigen, however, culture filtrate antigen prepared from one species is known to cross react with the other species of Aspergillus. In our study also immunodiffusion test was positive with serum sample from patients from whom Aspergillus flavus was recovered.
