Dear Editor, With reference to comments of Dr. Mirdha, this is to clarify that we gracefully accept comments made by him through his note written to the Editor. As regards the last paragraph referring to the quantitative estimation of parasite, we admit that this grading using plus system is of low analytic value, but may be used for monitoring response to treatment as peripheral smear is more time consuming. Moreover QBC may give positive results in samples tested negative by conventional peripheral smear staining.
